Hello, I bought a live15 on eBay last week. I plugged it in, and only the four shift buttons lit up and the crossfader’s zero position are lit blue. The device doesn’t display anything else! I’ve tried several things to get it working, but to no avail. What can I do, or is the device defective? Please help. Thanks in advance. Regards, Jo
Hey there! Seems like is well configured. You’ll need to install the Remote Script in Ableton Live to make it work properly. Follow these instructions:
Your controller came with a custom configuration, specially made to work together with the LIVE15 remote script for Ableton Live. To get it running, you have to put the uncompressed folder into Ableton’s MIDI Remote Scripts folder.
1- Download and uncompress the .zip file
YaeltexUniversal_Live15_2-2.zip (99.6 KB)
2- Close Ableton and place the uncompressed folder into Ableton’s MIDI Remote Scripts folder
- On Mac The Remote Script folder is located inside the Ableton Live application bundle. To access it, locate the Live application in Finder, right-click on it and select “Show Package Contents” in the appearing context menu. Then navigate to: /Contents/App-Resources/MIDI Remote Scripts/
- On Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8+ \ProgramData\Ableton\Live x.x\Resources\MIDI Remote Scripts\
3- Open Ableton live
4- Go to Preferences > Link and MIDI
5- Select “Yaeltex Universal” from the Control Surface list and Select LIVE15 as Input and Output ports.

I’ve inserted the MIDI script as described, but I can’t activate it in Ableton’s MIDI input and output! I’m attaching a few photos to demonstrate the problem. Sincerely, jo
Seems like the controller is not being recognized by Ableton or the computer itself. Can you try in any other MIDI applications? You can quicky check it on midimonitor.com as well (from a chromium browser)
