Hey quick question:
Is it possible to set the LED intensity for the rotary part of an encoder via midi feedback? I can’t find the right message for it.

Hello @edisludwig!
Yes, it is possible to set the LED intensity for the rotary part of an encoder via MIDI feedback, provided your controller is running firmware version v0.20 or later.
To configure and send the right message, follow these steps:
Assign the Channel: Go to the General Preferences in Kilowhat (under Controller Options > MIDI Channels) and set a specific MIDI channel for the “Value to intensity” feature.*
Enable the feature on the specific encoder’s rotary feedback section
Hit SEND TO DEVICE to upload the new configuration.
Send the Message: Send a MIDI message to the controller on that specific “Value to intensity” channel. The message type (e.g., Control Change or Note) and parameter (e.g. CC 40) needs to match the message type and parameter you already configured for that specific encoder’s feedback.*
Set the Brightness Level: The CC value (or Note velocity, depending on your message type) will determine the brightness level. The values range from 0 (minimum brightness, though it will not turn the LED completely off) up to 127 (maximum brightness).
You can use this exact same method to control the brightness of encoder switches and digital buttons as well.
Let me know if this works!
